Positive progress has been made in financing cooperation and other aspects to promote the deepening and solidification of the “Belt and Road Initiative” construction.

Looking forward to the year 2020, on the one hand, the international political and economic landscape will continue to undergo profound adjustments. The global economy will continue to operate at a low level, while the downward pressure on China’s economy will be also very obvious. The construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative” will face increased uncertainties. On the other hand, the economic development momentum of the countries along the route is relatively good. And China's domestic open cooperation system and pattern are becoming more and more perfect, which is expected to become a strong support for the steady progress of the " Belt and Road Initiative" construction.

2020 is the year when China's "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" ends and the "14th Five-Year Plan" will be fully launched. We should actively follow the general trend of international and domestic development, aim at the urgent problems and strategic needs that need to be resolved in the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, adhere to the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, and promote the “Belt and Road Initiative” construction space and key tasks to refocus and integrate with domestic development in purpose of a organic combination, to ensure greater progress in the construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative” in 2020.
